The sunshine of your smile casts the shadow
Of your love upon my brow, beaming it into my heart
Where it lives in its own little cocoon-like nest…
Someday, in some far off distant land…
in another time, another place,
That love will emerge from its cocoon
and take the shape of a beautiful
Butterfly
And in its shadow your love will await my coming…
And soon, in that far off land,
I will walk the deep forests in an ongoing search
for something I will know
only when I find it…
And when I approach that Butterfly and it
alights upon my shoulder,
Its fluttering wings will speak to me and say,
Search no longer for
I am that elusive one for whom you seek.
The sunshine will melt the shadows
