I know me and you are over
And I know you're over me
But I'm not quite over you yet
Though I'll tell you that I am
I know you can hear it in my voice
Every night I lie in bed
I try not to think of you
And I try not to think of what we were
Everyday I try not to hear your voice in my head
I try to drown out the sound
The sound of us laughing and talking like we did
But it's impossible
I can never sleep anymore
And when I finally start to doze off
The pictures of you start poppin' into my mind
Down good old memory lane I start to wind
I guess what I'm tryin' to find
Is the day I went wrong
Tryin' to find out why you're gone
And then I hear it, the words to our song
And then,
I wake up
AND IT'S OVER
